After-School Enrichment Programs

South Jersey Innovation Center offers after-school, small-group instruction across all of our STEM departments. Our classes provide students with personalized guidance in a collaborative learning environment where they can build confidence, develop new skills, and explore their interests.

Whether your child is just beginning or looking to advance their abilities, our experienced instructors are committed to helping every student succeed.

Class Schedule & Academic Sessions

Classes are typically one hour long and meet once each week during a 10-week session. New sessions are offered throughout the year, giving students multiple opportunities to enroll.

2025–2026 Academic Sessions

First Quarter

  • September 2 – November 10, 2025
  • Holiday: Labor Day (September 1)

  • November 11, 2025 – January 29, 2026
  • Breaks: Winter Break (December 23 – January 4) and Martin Luther King Jr. Day (January 19)

  • Breaks: Presidents' Day (February 16) and Spring Break (March 28 – April 5)

Tuition & Family Discounts

Tuition is $275 per student for each 10-week session.

Families enrolling in multiple classes or registering more than one child receive discounted pricing.

Multi-Class Discount

  • First class: $275
  • Each additional class: $250

Students joining after a session has begun may also qualify for prorated tuition based on the remaining weeks in the quarter.

How to Register

Registering for classes is simple and can be completed online.

  1. Visit our online registration portal.
  2. Create an Amilia account if you are a new user.
  3. Select the current academic session.
  4. Choose your desired department and course.
  5. Review the course details.
  6. Add the student(s) you wish to register.
  7. Complete checkout and payment.

Class Placement & Experience Levels

At SJIC, students are placed according to experience rather than age or grade level. This allows every learner to participate in a class that matches their current abilities and supports continued growth.

We recommend new students meet with an instructor before enrolling to determine the most appropriate class level.

Our Level System

Level 1 (L1)
Perfect for beginners with little or no previous experience.

Level 2 (L2)
Designed for students who have completed introductory classes or already possess foundational knowledge.

Level 3+ (L3+)
Advanced courses intended for experienced students seeking greater challenges and higher-level instruction.

Attendance & Make-Up Classes

Because each class builds upon previous lessons, we encourage students to attend every session whenever possible.

If a student is unable to attend:

  • Please provide at least 24 hours' notice whenever possible.
  • Contact the appropriate department or instructor directly.
  • Make-up lessons or approved drop-in classes may be scheduled during the same academic session, subject to availability.
  • If SJIC cancels a class due to instructor illness or other circumstances, students will be offered a make-up opportunity.
